How do I stop the conflict message between mackbook air and icloud?

I am working in Pages on iCloud on my MacBook Air and keep getting a message to resolve the conflict between the document on MacBook Air and the document on iCloud.


1)Why are they not the same document?

2)The message happens every 3-4 minutes, is it possible to increase this time if I'm not able to stop it?

3)I have never seen this before, is it new?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you're having issues with your Pages document versions in iCloud Drive and on your MacBook.


In this instance, the suggestions found in the macOS User Guide, under section: If document versions conflict in iCloud Drive on Mac should help to resolve the conflict you're experiencing.
