Transfer data from old iPhone to new iPhone

I was setting up my iPhone 11 Pro Max and about halfway through during the data transfer I had to cancel. After waiting for it to reconnect and starting the phone, it completed the set up but it seemed to skip a couple of steps?

on the old iPhone it said to keep the phones near each other. The new iPhone finished whatever it needed to do and I can use it. The old iPhone is still in the transfering data screen with the loading bar.

is the data transfer complete? Or will some of the data be lost if I hit the cancel and stop transfer?
