i’m trying to downgrade my apple storage for icloud and it won’t let me it has a red arrow next to the 5GB

Your iCloud storage downgrade should take effect after your current subscription has expired. Once it is in effect, you should see the storage amount reflect to the amount that you downgraded to (or to 5GB if you opted for the free storage plan).

Please be advised that when you downgrade or cancel your plan and your stored iCloud content exceeds your available storage, some of your data will not be uploaded into iCloud.
