Update problem

I have an iPad Air 3 that had an update installed last night

The screen is effectively unworkable as it is so dark that I struggle to read anything

Fiddling with brightness controls in Settings does not resolve this

THIS NEEDS SORTING OUT RIGHT AWAY

Thanks

iPad, iOS 10

Since updating your iPad, have you tried a forced-restart? This will often resolve an isolated issue:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
