Memos deleted still take up 2gigs of storage space

I've recently deleted all my memos from my iPhone after saving them to a dedicated folder,

but when I look into settings/iphone storage, it still shows 2.28 GB of data.

I also deleted everything from iTunes, then synced, but it still doesn't help.

I 've tried for hours and it's driving me crazy..

Please help if you know how this works..

Thanks!!

Hi there djanogil,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

It sounds as though after deleting Voice Memos they are still using storage space on your iPhone. You’re in the right place, we’d be glad to assist in seeking a solution.

Let's start with some basic steps that can help. First, let's check to see if the software on your iPhone is up to date (iOS 13.6.1) and then let's restart your device.

On your iPhone, tap Settings>General>Software Update.

Below are some resources that can help:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Restart your iPhone

Next, we’d advise checking to see if the Voice Memos are still in Recently Deleted folder. Below is a resource that can help:

Use the Voice Memos app

Keep us posted,

Cheers!
