I ordered an iPad on August 7th and when I check the shipment status it’s still processing and says it will be delivered in September, is it going to take that long?

ipad hasn’t shipped yet and it is close to my delivery date. I ordered my iPad on July 3rd and it stayed in the processing phase for the majority of July which I was fine with because I knew the iPad (12.9) was in high demand. Apple told me my device would arrive between the 20th and the 27th. It is currently the 26th and my iPad has not entered the shipping phase, it still says "preparing to ship." normally I would not be anxious about my device coming but I am leaving for college in about 12 days so I need it to be here.

How many days does Apple take to ship iPad Air 4? I ordered an iPad Air 4 on Nov.30, it changed from processing to preparing to ship yesterday, the estimated arrival time is december 10-15 will I revcieve my iPad earlier than that or will it necessarily come between december 10-15?
