I wonder where to find this option on my MacBook ? because there is no such option in menu. Moreover I didn’t notice any changes in recording quality in comparison with my old macbook air 2014. I seem 4 inputs microphone system doesn’t work. Initially I faced some problems during FaceTime calls. Voice of partner sometimes interrupts if I start to speak or if there is some backside sounds, it causes lot’s of inconsistencies.

The checkbox for ambient noise reduction is gone in Catalina, it's enabled by default. If you want to turn it off, Apple will need to add back the option.
