Would cases for iPhone 7/8 plus fit in my iPhone 6s plus?

Hello. Hi I'm looking for a case for my iphone 6s plus and want to know because the only cases shown are for the iphone 7/8 plus, would these fit?

Also because I love the feature of turning it sideways, do they have this option available now and why or why not? Because I didn't think/was told at time of purchase, the iphone 6s plus did not have this feature, I found out just recently and it is so much less stressful typing messages sideways, better late than never. I'm 78 years old and want to be supported to continue with technology.

Also because my old case had the "kick stand" what is the "popsocket" and do you recommend?

Cases for the 7 and 8 plus will ft, though cases for the 8 plus may be a bit loose, since its a tad bit larger than the 6s Plus.

The camera cutout on the back will also not be an exact fit, since the module is larger in both the 7 and 8 so may both not be exactly centered, and will have open space.

As to the screen rotation feature, all current plus sized models have universal screen rotation yes. So 7 Plus. 8 Plus, Xs Max, 11 Pro Max.

All mid sized models have app based rotation. That means the screen may rotate in some apps, but will not rotate everywhere. Its down to the specific App to support the screen rotation. The Messages App is one of the few that rotates regardless of iPhone size.

The Popsocket is a mushroom peg you attach to the back of the iPhone to hold it more securely. Personally I've never used one, so cannot speak to it one way or another.

I use a case with a kickstand from Spigen.

Hi deggie,

Yes, that's what I meant by universal rotation. Rotation everywhere including the Home Screen, Settings App, and other apps that may normally not rotate in medium sized iPhones.

The Plus (and Max) sized iPhones as explained above have this feature. The smaller sized iPhones do not.

It does landscape mode just not on the home page or any app where the developer chooses not to implement it. I fail to see how not being able to put the Home Screen in landscape mode is all that beneficial to me.

But perhaps someday in the future...

I was told by my son who is tech smart that because he likes the landscape option he curr is not upgrading from his 6s Becca he said the landscape wasn’t an option.i believe. He lives in Texas; I’m in Florida .

I mean Because landscapes is so much preferable Is Apple aware of the demand especially by we the older generation,? My son is a businessman and that is his opinion to keep the 6s for now. His daughter had the 11 I believe. I when they have a New landscape friendly Model, I’ll jump in.
