Fix a harmful update

Wife’s iPhone 6S worked perfectly well up until today. IOS auto update last night 13.6. As of this morning her battery runs down very fast, within an hour even when not used. It appears the update is killing the phone. What to do??

It’s not the update that is killing the battery; you need to check for whatever app is using the energy. You can do this by going to Settings/Battery and seeing which apps are using the most energy.

You should also give it a couple of days to stabilize, as sometimes after an update there is “housekeeping” that iOS must do to organize content.

A good troubleshooting sequence is:

If none of this fixes it post back to this thread and there are more drastic steps to try.
