the sign out button is lock ?

I can't sign out on my Mac because I can't use the sign out button, can anyone help me ?

iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 10.15

Hey there! That’s a strange one.....

In System Preferences > Screen Time, is anything in there turned on? It could be some restriction.


If not, do you see a Profiles pane in System Preferences? An installed profile may be causing this.


If not, I might try creating a new administrator user, log out of this user, log into the new user, making sure to sign in with your Apple ID during set up......Them sign out of the Apple ID on the new user,

Sign out of new user and back into the main user, is it still greyed out?


Also, booting to safe mode, (Restart your Mac holding the Shift key), can you sign out? If so, do that and restart, if not:


Can you try disabling/unchecking each of the iCloud services in that window, one by one, to see if:

A) One service gives you a problem, and

B) If you’re able to sign out afterwards?


If you haven’t already, (You May have), a restart might just be the key before trying all that though. Hope it works out!
