How does one get rid of the supervision state if one still wants to keep one's data made in a backup?

Apple has created a circular problem here. There's no way to get rid of the supervision state without losing data unless one restores to a different device and then another backup and back to the original device. Just provide a simple way to remove supervision using 2FA or some other secure but simple mechanism.

What do you mean by “supervision state”? Is your device under a remote MDM deployment? If so, users never have the option of removing the MDM profile or control. That would defeat the whole point of using managed deployments in the first place. Control of the device rests in the hands of whomever administers the remote deployment. The whole point of remote deployments is to remove user control of devices.
