Hello! I tried gifting the game Minecraft to my friend. I have about $20 of Apple ID credit but it wouldn’t let me use that money so I had to use my credit card. It worked and sent her the email but when she went to redeem the app, a pop up appeared that said that the payment method was declined. Why? I don’t get what went wrong.

The problem is that you can't gift an app. In effect, you purchased the app for yourself using your credit card in the App and iTunes Stores.
