i have files with a orange circle and a white line beside like a tag, but not a tag. What does that mean?

I have a select few folders, mainly in my Movies that have the orange circles and I just started to see them no more than a. month ago.

Folders not behaving as expected HI, Until recently and possibly even up to the latest release of Ventura - 13.2 - the spreadsheet files in a Folder would list themselves in alphabetic order making them easy to find. Now they are out of order according to which file I opened most recently. These are put back at the top of the list. I am not aware of making any changes so I am wondering why this is happening and can I get these Folders back to listing contents in alphabetic order ? Thanks Stylax

I'd guess it's aPermissions prom in a later OS than 10.13.6, or those contain someting not available directly.

Do a Get info on your Home folder, unlock the lock in the Get Info panel. Make sure it says you have Read & Write privileges.

Using the tiny gear icon, use the drop down to "Apply to enclosed items...
