Smart Playlist problem

Hello here,

I have a problem with the Smart Playlist on iTunes.

I'm using the latest version of macOS (10.15.6).

When I create a Smart Playlist and I add "Artist -> Contains -> name1" as rules,

if there is only one of this kind of rule it works properly.

If I add a second rule the same as the first (only changing the artist name),

iTunes removes the first artist's songs from that playlist and it adds only one

song of the second artist (from the second rule).

Instead, if I add a third "Artist -> Contains -> name3", the playlist become empty.

Now I though that if I put as rules:

"Artist -> Contains -> name1"

"Artist -> Contains -> name2"

"Artist -> Contains -> name3"

iTunes would be searching for songs that have all those artists (1, 2 and 3) in a single song.

So if it is, how to make a Smart Playlist that contains multiple artists?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

Hi,

Smart playlist has the option to set the criteria to “All” or “Any”.

If you select “All”, you will get nothing as it is looking for tracks that meet the three conditions set. If you select “Any”, it will list artists for each condition met.

I think I was doing something wrong because I tried with this:

And now it is working. But I had to add two rules for the same artist: artist is and artist contains.

Otherwise it wouldn't have added all the songs correctly.
