Can I delete this (from var folder)?

Hi. I use a disk cleanup program that identified a 64.83GB folder, which is located within my 'var' folder. (See screenshot below; folder in red box) Is it safe to include this (i.e. delete) in my clean up? Thanks.

Other info: I run a virtual machine on my Mac (Parallels), which I mention as I think it might be related to this folder.

Thanks for your help!

Try booting into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and reboot normally. Then check to see what the cache size is. Safe Mode boot clears out a number of system and temp cache files.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

Hey Old Toad! Thanks for your reply. I have already booted the Mac a couple of times in Safe Mode and everything is still the same.

I also appreciate the tip on optimizing programs, and I agree with the analysis. I didn't really purchase one of these specifically, rather it is one tool of a program that I use called Parallels toolbox, which comes with several useful features of which the disk clean up is only one. It did bring my attention, though, to the fact that I had a 64 GB var cache folder, which seems odd.
