Microsoft Teams crashing on IOS devices

I have the microsoft teams app on my iPhone X and my iPad Pro. It worked well the first few days on my school account and now when you open the apps on both they shut down after a few seconds. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and did not work. I really would like to use these apps with my students. I still get alerts coming through both but does not stay open long enough to read them .
