How do I validate AU audio plugins in Final Cut Pro X?

Some of my third party Logic Pro X AU plugins get the "did not pass the validation" compatibility warning and don't show up in Final Cut X. The same plugins were validated and work fine in Logic. I have tried the CTL/Open workaround on the component file that is supposed to bypass OSX security, but Catalina just keeps blocking them. Major headache!

Thanks,

Terence

Go into Preferences > General:

Click the Audio Units button (Validate on Next Launch) and restart FCPX.

That looks like it might be a menu choice, but it's simply a button you must click if you want FCPX to force validate AUs. Otherwise, it will just keep going on what was formerly validated (startup is much faster that way!)
