My daughter is giving her MacBook Air to her brother. What does she need to do?

My daughter is giving her laptop to her brother. She doesn't care to do the factory reset but just wants to make sure all accounts are logged out and she'll delete files manually. What does she need to do? Seems too complicated to do factory reset so she just wants her files deleted and accounts logged out. How does she do it and any tips or ideas?
