how an ordinary person can verify a battery infront of him is genuine .??? i mean there are a lot many substandard spare parts which do not actually come from apple firms.. so how can a person like me can pick a genuine battery while his tour to any mbl accessory shop.
You must be really bored. You also don’t understand water resistance ratings. And how many iPhone 7 series do you think were sold? So when your count gets up to 3 million or so it might mean something.
Having answered many of them with the words "water has destroyed your phone" I would rather preach caution than complacency.
I have used the numbers reply too. However in this case I am not claiming a worldwide problem, just repeating Apple's own warning.
The 7 plus is not really water resistant anyway, so don't get it wet now or after the repair (Whatever the salesmen say)
About genuine iPhone batteries
what are the disadvantages when we replace our battery?? does water&dust resistant remain functional??
It has an iP67 rating, is there a reason you are saying it is not water resistant?
If the shop is not an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) they will not have a genuine replacement battery so you will be buying a 3rd party battery.
Just out of interest I searched the forum for reported water damage in the last one week relating to iphone 7 and later.
I got bored after counting 70.
