My laptop won’t start up

Mac is stuck on startup image and won’t get going? Don’t know what happened but unable to get started. Any advise or

1 - Shut down your Mac and reset SMC and NVRAM in that order. Did that change anything? Were you able to boot again?

2 - Boot in Safe Mode: turn on your Mac while holding Shift key. If it goas all the way, reboot it normally and se what happens (Safe Mode does some tricks to the system).

3 - Boot from an installation bootable drive/disc, go to Disk Utility and run First Aid

4 - Before the last strike, if you have an external drive, install macOS on it and check if it works.

5 - Final strike: backup your data (you can use macOS installed on that external drive for it), erase your internal drive (partitions and everything) and reinstall macOS fresh and clean.
