Firefox and safari

Is it possible to have one universal set of bookmarks (safari, firefox and opera using the same bookmark file)?

macbook pro (13 in 2.53 GHz) (Mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.3), I use an iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, iBook G4, and iMac (20" Mid-2007)

HI,

One way to do this is to go to your Safari Menu Bar click File/Export Bookmarks. You can then Import that file into either Firefox for sure, I'm not positive you can do that with Opera.

Check http://www.versiontracker.com or http://www.macupdate.com for third party hacks for syncing.

HI,

You can sync Bookmarks with Safari on your Mac using MobileMe to an iPhone or iPad but not to a third party browser. I have a MobileMe account and have never seen a way to do that.

Firefox home?

In any event, you can Import/Export the Bookmarks.

Might be something here but I've never tried it. http://www.sheepsystems.com/products/bookdog/

I actually use it to synchronize between browsers on the PC using Firefox and Chrome and on the Mac using Safari and Firefox and Chrome. It keeps all my bookmarks in sync on all my browsers whether on the same computer on not. XMarks on Firefox and Chrome are extensions so they are independent of each other. On my Mac, the Safari Xmarks is an app that gets installed and runs in the background while Firefox on the Mac uses the extension so they all synchronize between each other.
