I didn’t have enough storage on my iPad Air so I purchased more for $.99 per month.
My question is, when I transfer all my data to my new device , will everything transfer over and can I then cancel the extra storage?

One big misnomer about iCloud storage is that it expands your iPad’s storage. It does not. All it does is allow you to keep more data in sync across your devices.
now say your current ipad is a 32 gig one and you buy a 64 gig one, you can set up the new one from a backup of the old and have more room because the new ipad is bigger than the old one.
If your new one is the same size as your old one then you’ll have the same storage issues.
