Photos Library Extremely Slow on New LaCie Hard Drive
I wanted to consolidate my photos from an old computer and my Mac onto an external hard drive because my Mac doesn't have enough space. I purchased a 2T LaCie hard drive from Apple for the purpose. Everything was working fine until I moved my current photo library to the external drive and put all of my other photos from another computer into that photo library on the external drive. Now, every time I open it, it takes extremely long to load. I still have a couple thousand photos to add to the library and have not been able to do so because it continues to freeze. The drive only has about 500 GB of the 2T used so I feel like this shouldn't be a normal issue. The hard drive is brand new and not has not been used for anything else in the past. I also added an EtreCheck report with the drive plugged in if that can offer some helpful insights. Any suggestions are welcome.
