Do I need to sign out of my Apple devices before changing my Apple ID ?

That used to be recommended but the current procedure is detailed in the following: Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

and it recommends the following as the last step (step 7): What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

I suggest you do that because I have read multiple posts where people who didn't do that, later had problems signing out.
