Moving to Canada

I’m moving to Canada! How do I keep my UK apps and start using my new phone number in Canada while being able to download apps and use Canadian compatible Apps? Do I need to start afresh?

Since its the same Apple ID you should be able to keep the apps that are not regional (some are very regional and will not work) If you do not have a balance for your Apple ID funds you should be able to switch the region without much issue. Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support
