I just received a message that "Find My" has been disabled on my iPhone and that my apple ID and password will no longer be required. Not sure how this happened, but I'd like to reset so I can find my iPhone and my ID and password are required.

First, go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud. Is Find My on? If it is the message is a scam. I hope you didn’t click a link in it.

If you have already lost your phone, did you receive a message saying it had been found, and to click a link to enter your Apple ID and password? If that’s what happened you fell for a scam; it’s too late to do anything about it.

  • If your name appears or you can log in tap on your name
  • You should see Find My right below iCloud and Media & Purchases (my earlier location was incorrect)
