Trading in Locked Iphone.

I am trying to buy an iPhone, and i have a trade in one, the only problem is that the person who sold it to me never turned off Find My iPhone, and i couldn't reach him again, so I was wondering is I can still do a trade in.

Trading in iphone the phone I am trading in says “iPhone locked by owner”. Is it ok to send it out like that or do I have to do something else?

No. It can be recycled but you won't receive anything for it.
