volume jumps in iTunes

Running iTunes ver. 12.10.8.5 on Win 10 Home Build 1909 - The volume jumps at the start of each new"event." - Ex: - I have a playlist for Music Videos - I start the playlist and with the first video running, adjust the volume on BOTH iTunes (in app) and Win 10 (task bar adjustment). Once volume set, the rest of the video plays great. The NEXT video starts and there is about a 30 db volume gain, bit NEITHER volume setting has changed - they both show where they were. I then click on the Win 10 volume in the task bar and click the volume slider where it is and the volume drops in db back to the original setting. This also happens on audio playlists, but only if I pause the playlist and restart it. Any ideas?

Windows, Windows 10

Hi flapm,

We see the volume starts off higher when playing videos from your playlist. We can help with some information to get started on this. Let's try to disconnect any devices and reboot your PC. Afterwards, attempt to use iTunes as expected. This article will cover the preference settings to double check. Does this happen in other media software or websites?

Change Playback preferences in iTunes on PC

We'd like you to turn off Sound Enhancer and Sound Check. After turning it off, reboot the PC and open iTunes again to test.

Have a great week!
