small black arrows

There are small black arrows at the bottom left of my desktop pdfs. How do I get rid of them.

What are these icons> In Safari, if I have a page that is a pdf I want to download, I get these icons at the bottom of the page. What do they mean? I know the + and - but what about the other two?
