who created the font Galvji?

I made Cherokee fonts. I like to have Apple add those into the Mac with the blessing of the Cherokee nation. Is there someone i can speak to about this?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

These are user to user help forums, and none of us know why Apple has chosen particular fonts to include with its OS releases.

If you think the current Cherokee font can be improved, you can let Apple know via

http://www.apple.com/feedback

You should be able to find the author of Galvji in the View > Font Info of this font in Font Book. I think

https://www.evertype.com

may have been involved.

Hello Mr Gewecke,

I appreciate your reply. My personal interest is this. For the past 10 years or so I work on Cherokee fonts with a few people in the Cherokee nation. I've been trying understand what makes a Cherokee font as uniquely different than all of the Euro-centric style with their deep history in Europe.

I've been using Mac since 1990 when Garan Inc, send me to production dept to do graphic separation. I understand most of the typeface history used in a Mac. Coopers Blacks font as an example, Why Mac would add that to their collection of available font collection for everyday use. But can you say that about this Cherokee fonts? Why Galvji? For me Mac is tool like shoe or sox i use everyday. This is not a toy for me. It's my life as an artist and a designer. Galvji shows up on everyone of my kerning pages as an auto set as well as all the Cherokee pages be it Glosbe https://glosbe.com/chr/en/%E1%8E%A0%E1%8F%82%E1%8F%B4%E1%8F%AB%E1%8F%AF%E1%8E%A2

or Wiktonary.org

I am not looking to confront anyone. I want to know, why this font? Was there a consensus by the people of Cherokee nation this would be their single stand alone generic standard go to font? Yes?

Would any one at Mac corporation or the people in the Cherokee nation be interested in having a different collection of Cherokee typefaces as a stand alone Mac collection fonts?

Yes, I would be interested in creating for them for free, given a generous and a realistic timeline. I believe I can do a better job.
