I am in a Junior College music class which is using Flipgrid to record our music. I am having trouble using it on my iMac and have been advised to get Google Chrome to use with the Flipgrid application. This was not my idea! Evidently the Flipgrid on my phone works okay but I need to use both my iMac and the Phone for the class. I received a note that my Apple ID was being used in Vacaville which is maybe 30-40 miles from where I live. I have all my Apple phones/iMac and iPad here so I don't think anyone is using my passwords.

You should contact the people who advised you to use Google Chrome. As mentioned earlier, the Google app store will not work on a Mac. Is whatever app you need

compatible with Mac OS (there are many apps that will work on an iPad or iPhone, but not on a Mac - different operating systems = different requirements).

Google Chrome is a browser and works ok, but is a terrible resource hog - it will eat all of your RAM and processor resources for breakfast. You do not need an app store to get Chrome - you can download it from here:

Flipgrid appears to be a Microsoft app, so it will most likely not be compatible with mac OS. You need to check into that as well.
