Old Phone damaged, Screen unresponsive

I dropped my old IPhone 6 plus into water and now the screen is unresponsive. I got an IPhone 11 and moved the ICloud into the IPhone 11 but I cant make calls or texts. Do I have to remove the IPhone 6 off of my Apple ID for my IPhone 11 to work?

No, but it won't hurt to do so. I would remove it because it no longer is relevant.
