Can't post to Instagram stories from Instagram app

So, I just changed from Android to iPhone and already discovered that I can't post to my Instagram stories from the Instagram app that I downloaded from the App store. I don't get the "add to stories" icon anywhere. Is this a glitch? There appeared to be only one Instagram app in the store. Had to go back to my Android to post my story. How embarrassing, Apple. Please advise.
