Mojave file on App Store is damaged - how can I download file to upgrade to Mojave OS when the App Store will not allow me to download this damaged file??

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

Are you sure it's the file on the App Store and not on your own drive?

Usually I would suggest deleting the file on the computer and then try to download again but obviously that only works if the problem is that way round!
