Restore to factory settings
How do I return my MacBook Air to factory settings. I got a new one and am giving my daughter my old one.

Restoring a MacBook to factory settings is a lot more complicated than an iPhone or iPad, but I can help you get though it.
- Firstly start it in recovery mode (Cmd+ R),
- Go into disk utility and erase Macintosh HD (or anything you named it)
- Finally back to the recovery menu and press re-install macOS
- Follow the instructions until the mac restarts
