Your screen or phone is busted. Any software glitches in ios14 were patched.

You need to arrange a repair

Anything other than Screen or Battery will be a replacement phone and the price will depend on your warranty status.

Apple guys told replacing the screen is the only option which will cost u around ₹29,500. I believe this issue can't be resolved by any means of software update/downgrade.

Screens wear out or break occasionally . Out of warranty you need to pay for a repair.

I strongly recommend the Apple repair service in order that faceID will continue to operate.

Just going by what it says

I have the same problem after updating to iOS 14 on my iPhone X. It has got something to do with software but sad part is we are now out of warranty period .,. Tried factory reset and it worked for few days and then the issue is back but not occurring frequently these days

I have the same issue. This is what I did:

hard restart - works for a couple hours. And then the green tint appear again.

reset all setting - works well for a long while. And then I discovered my battery need replacement. After the battery replacement, the iPhone X still works very well, no issue at all for a month.

update iOS 14.4 - after 1 day the green tint appear again.

try a hard restart - the green tint is still there on the top left corner.

when I try to take a screenshot with the green tint, it just suddenly disappeared, without doing anything. And the screenshot cannot even capture the green tint.

so, do must of you think this is a hardware or software issue?

It can’t be a coincidence that this many people have the exact same issue, I also now have the green top right corner and green tint across my display, possibly the OLED screen is failing? Very disappointing from a company like Apple, and an out of warranty repair probably costs more than the phone is worth.

My iPhone X now has the exact same issue after updating to iOS 14.0.1. The green bar is persistent and the screen flicks on low brightness. I’ve done hard reset,resetting to factory settings and even wiped out completely then installed iOS via iTunes. Nothing happened. Am frustrated to the core knowing the repair would cost a fortune. Suggestions please.

Hi, I have the same problem with my phone. Thats almost exactly what my screen looks like too. I’m using an Iphone X and yesterday, the screen just decided to get a green tint and would flicker every now and then. I panicked so i turned it off right away, not wanting to cause anymore damage. I also thought that maybe it got wet or something but i really doubt it. It happened really randomly and I’m kinda freaking out. Hopefully someone has a concrete solution for this.

I too did an update two months back, and after that this issue started. It used to go off once in a while, but will come back.

I am using a temporary phone now, since cost of screen replacement is too high.

I dint drop my phone or spill water or anything. This happened from a software update. Am surprised.

Is apple intentionally doing this?
