Macbook Pro 15 2017 Left Fan spinning at max RPM (6900 RPM)

From startup, the left fan on my MBP would ramp up to 100% and stay there. No apps such as SMCFanControl or TG Pro would be able to override the fan speed. TG Pro showed that all sensors are well and Apple diagnostics return the error code PPF04. So I suppose, this isn't a sensor issue and a fan issue? I just need to know wether it is a sensor issue (logic board related, which would cost too much that it isn't worth it) or just a faulty fan (which is cheap to replace).

Hi,

PPF004 means there may be an issue with the fan.

You would need replace your fan at nearby Apple retail Store if it is open or find and take your MacBook Pro to opened neighborhood Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined it.
