family sharing for music

i am wanting to do the family sharing for apple music but I have a smaller child and he has an ipod but I don't want him to have access to my music. So will his song and mine be on two different devices will it be an issue?

As long as the child is using their own Apple ID and not yours, then Music libraries are entirely separate.

The child won't have access to your music, nor will you see their music on your devices.
