Using an iPad Pro 2020 with an Apple USB Superdrive

I have recently purchased an iPad Pro 2020 and wish to use an Apple USB Super drive with it. If I purchase an USB-C to USB adaptor will this enable me to use it or if not have you any other suggestions

iOS/iPadOS devices do not support Optical Media Drives.
