Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3

I have a MACBOOK AIR which has a Thunderbolt 2 socket. I want to connect duel screens and a docking station appears the only way...I cannot find any docking stations that support Thunderbolt 2 so is there any other way I can do this? I have purchased on Thunderbolt 3 docking station by mistake, so are there any T2 to T3 cables or adapters that will do the trick?

If dual external displays are your goal, you can stop looking. MacBook Air models with a Thunderbolt 2 port can only support a single external display (up to 4K resolution depending on the model). Only MacBook Air models with a Thunderbolt 3 port can support two external displays.

So, if you require two external displays you'll need to get a newer MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro (and with one of those options, a TB3 dock would be the way to go).
