Pages document not responding

I was editing a pages document that someone else sent me, I saved a couple of copies after editing in my dropbox. When I tried to edit the 3rd one it gave a message non solid text outlines were converted to solid lines and when I tried to hit okay it would not respond. I tried to go back in dropbox and open up the original version and it would not respond. I also tried to open up other docs and nothing is happening. I have the new imac and have only had it for 4 days. What is the solution?

We understand you are experiencing some issues with editing a Pages document. We would be happy to look over this with you.

You stated that these Pages files are currently being modified and edited from Dropbox, is that correct? Does this same issue occur if you were to download or move the Pages files out of Dropbox on to your Mac and edited from there? We want to isolate the issue to see if it is the Mac that is having issues opening and modifying the Pages document, or if there is something happening with the connection to Dropbox that could be the issue.
