No. Find My is the only software which can locate an iPod touch; other iPod models can only be found through physical searches.

With iPods and other wifi only devices the ‘find my’ app has a critical weakness...it only works when the device is online. So if you lost it the main way for you to find it is ‘where did I have it last’.
