Default email option is missing from settings

I am running iOS 13.6. I am unable to select a default email account. I have verified that I have two accounts added with email selected: an exchange email and a yahoo email. However when I go into settings > mail > under the compose section I don’t have any default email option. It ends at signature. I’ve seen other posts related to this and followed those steps but nothing has restored that setting.

This indicates you have a corporate email profile installed which does not allow you to change the default option based on the organisational policies.

  • You may find it under Settings  > General > Profiles & Device Management.
