ITunes fails to recoginse my IPhone8 plus

Hi all, I bought a brand new IPhone 8 plus which is not being recognised by Windows 10. It was working fine till the hard drive on my PC was replaced. Now, it recognises my IPhone 6s but not 8Plus. I have re-installed ITunes multiple times which hasn't helped in any way. The diagnostic test I ran on ITunes shows that ""Secure link to itunes store failed." Please assist.
