IPAD PRO 2020 SCREEN FREEZES RANDOMLY

Hello.

After the update iPadOS 13.6.1, my iPad Pro 11” 2020’s screen froze up and became unresponsive for a few seconds a few times. It was as if the screen was a mirror surface, whatever or wherever you tapped nothing happened...it didn’t even recognize the Apple Pencil. The previous couple of times the issue usually solved on its own - the screen turned black, iPad went in sleep mode and once back on everything was fine....but when it happened again today it was much worse: the freezing time lasted longer, iPad went into sleep a couple of times without completely unfreezing...then suddenly the screen turned pink then black, the iPad shut down and rebooted on its own and after that the issue was solved.

What could this be? It’s not a normal behavior; should I be worried and at what level?

Thank you for your help, and have a wonderful day.

As described, you iPad eventually caused itself to reboot. Perhaps the problem is now resolved - and without any residual symptoms with which to draw any conclusions, it is impossible to identify a definitive cause.

However, if you are concerned, you might directly contact Apple Support. Your iPad internally saves crash-reports and other diagnostic data; in the hands of someone skilled in reading these log files, it is possible that the cause might be identified. Due to the nature of this information, it is inadvisable to post these logs to a public forum such as this.

Should you choose to contact Apple Support, the Contact Support link can be found at top-right of this page.
