I need to provide Apple with a proof of ownership of a locked iPhone. Need to see the Device ID in order to do this. (The MEID) How can I access this info on a loved device?

The MEID can be found on the SIM tray on the following iPhones:

Your solution only applies to unlocked phones. This phone has been erased, and is locked to an Apple ID of an ex-employee. There's another way to access the MEID, but I don't know what it is, or it is not working. (Holding down the power and Home button, then pressing the home button a few times.) I'm trying to verify this. The answer you provided does not apply to this situation.
