I just got a new MacBook Pro, and my mom is in the same Apple ID as me. When I set up my computer, all of her contacts transferred over and it sends texts through her phone. How can I fix this?

Contact Sync Issue My daughter recently upgraded her Apple ID from a child to an adult account. However, even thought we are both logged on with separate Apple IDs, all of my contacts are syncing on her phone. How can I fix it so that this does not keep happening?

Contacts shared from other accounts on new phone I got a new phone and when my stuff was transferred from my old phone, it also brought contacts from both my children’s Apple accounts. Don't share an Apple ID. You can have your own and if you still share selected things you can do that with Family Sharing. See: Family Sharing - Apple Support
