Has anyone else experienced an allergic reaction to the metal button on the inside of the Apple 3 watch band (the one that comes standard with the watch)? I have a clear red rash at the spot where the button hits my skin.

I have this band and so does my wife but we haven’t experienced any reaction to the metal and we swim with them. Are you allergic to other metals / jewellery? I’d suggest trying the Nike Sport loop. It’s really soft, reflective for running at night and external comfortable. Plus no metal!
The metallic button contains small amounts of nickel. You have apparently discovered you have a serious nickel allergy. Schedule an appointment with an allergist to be tested. And Apple Community Specialist should come along soon and also suggest you contact Apple Support.
