I bought my device off Facebook from someone I don’t even know on marketplace. Well every time I insert my SIM card it says activate device i spent $175 on this phone so I’m pretty upset about it

What is the exact error message that you get? If it is sim locked, only the carrier it is locked to can unlock it. forcing it into recovery mode will not unlock it.

its probably sim locked this is relatively easy to fix you just need to force It into recovery through iTunes although you have to go to the apple store

It acts like it’s starting all over it says hello in different languages and says to activate it but no options to tap on
