*sigh*
I do not want these apps. I do not need them. I need the space they're occupying. Is there any way to delete the preinstalled Apple apps like Stocks, Chess, and Books?

Not easily, and they take up very little space.
As soon as you update, they will come back.
You would need do disable SIP and remove them using Terminal in Recovery using the unix subsystem, or boot from another drive.
Not to mention the 3 together only take up 63MB which is one third the size of the default Catalina wallpaper.
